THE VISTA TEAM

Vista offers a very specialised team, with in depth knowledge of the rapidly changing demands of housing design and delivery. Vista provides expert leadership and co-ordination of the residential design process to deliver imaginative solutions that can be reliably implemented. With the growing team in Vista and our associated professionals, we focus on providing an integrated service to home builders, for which we can take single point responsibility. Vista is fully registered as an RIBA Chartered Practice and carries Professional Indemnity Insurance which can cover previous and existing contracts as well as new work.

DIRECTORS

Tim Forsyth AA Dipl RIBA - Chairman Tim Forsyth has had a varied and extensive career within the property industry over the last 30 years, acting as a Chartered Architect, a Developer, and Project Manager both in the UK and Europe. He is a former Vice-President of the Royal Institute of British Architects where he was responsible for International Affairs, and served on RIBA Council for six years.

He also served as Chairman of the South East Region of the RIBA. He was a founder director of the first architectural practice to become a member of the London Stock Exchange. He founded Vista Architecture in 1996 (formerly Alcor Ltd), through which he has carried out all his subsequent work. In the late 1990’s Vista part owned and managed Wentwood Properties Limited, an Anglo-American joint venture company, developing retail projects in the Czech Republic and Poland.

From 1999 to 2001 Vista provided services to PRP Architects, one of the 15 largest UK architects, where Tim Forsyth was a director and implemented a major restructuring of the practice. From 2001, Vista provided consultancy services to the Childcare Corporation plc with Tim Forsyth acting as Director of Development, where he was responsible for a roll-out of a multi-million pound chain of new Day Nurseries throughout the UK.

In the UK, he has been responsible for the development, design and project management of a wide range of major projects, West End and City of London commercial developments, business park and industrial projects. These include the Guildhall Art Gallery in the City of London, the Department of Culture in Cockspur Street, the conversion of the Edwin Lutyens designed 8 St James Square, Westminster, into the former Royal Fine Arts Commission and the headquarters campus for Blue Circle Industries at Aldermaston.

More recently he has been responsible for the masterplanning, design, planning approval and construction information for major residential projects in Dartford, Farnborough, Chadwell Heath and elsewhere. Overseas, he competed successfully for two very large mixed use projects in Eastern China, and has been deeply involved in Poland, Czechoslovakia and Romania, where he has owned architectural offices. He has exhibited at the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy, and won a number of architectural awards including a Civic Trust Award, two Good Design in Housing Awards, two Richmond Society Awards, two North Hertfordshire Awards, a Concrete Society Award and others. He is a Freeman of the City of London, and a Livery-man of the Worshipful Company of Chartered Architects.

Geoff Eden MA, BSC Arch – Geoff´s career to date has revolved around a strong technical base which has been compounded through many years of site based experience. His well rounded approach to problem solving has evolved through his thorough understanding of the design and construction process.

His career has encompassed many different sectors of the industry including:

  • Hotels & Leisure
  • Conservation
  • Refurbishments & Restoration
  • Public & Institutional Buildings
  • Residential developments.

Specific projects include a large refurbishment project on Whitehall. Geoff was based on site for four years in a Senior Technical role which he was heavily involved with the Contract Administration of the project. This lead onto another site related role in Suffolk which was a multi discipline development involving various types of buildings and construction methods, the project set within an environmentally sensitive area.

Air Terminal works include refurbishment and new build projects in Delhi, Bahrain and more recently with Terminal 5 at Heathrow where his skills were utilised in resolving various design and technical issues on site with the Client and sub-contractors.

Smaller projects include restoration & fit out works to a grade 1 listed building in East London, private/social housing in Poland and the U.K..

Geoff is a 'team player' and through his broad base of skills and experience is able to manage client´s requirements and expectations.
